गोपनीयता नीति

This website is run by Ruru Gausewa Aashram, a family-run gaushala in Ruru, Palpa, Nepal. We ask only for what we need to reply to you, record your seva, or reach a cow in trouble. We don't sell or rent your information, and we don't use advertising or tracking tools.

What we collect

• When you fill a form (seva, sponsorship, order, visit, volunteer, contact): your name and phone number, and anything else you choose to give, such as email, city or district, delivery address, the name a seva is offered in, an occasion date, or a message.
• PAN, only if you ask for a tax-exemption receipt and we are a tax-exempt organisation. It is needed for that receipt.
• Rescue reports: your name, phone, the location you type or share from your phone (only if you press "Use my current location"), a description, and any photo you attach. Location data inside photos is removed when we save them.
• Payments: we never see your eSewa or Khalti password, MPIN, OTP or bank login. You pay through your own wallet or banking app; we only see what our statement shows (your name, amount and remarks), as with any transfer.
• Technical data: like every website, our server briefly logs your IP address and browser type to keep the site working and to stop abuse (for example, too many form submissions from one address).

Cookies

We use only the cookies the site needs to work:

• lang remembers whether you chose English or Nepali (kept for one year).
• A sign-in cookie, only for our own team members who manage the website.

There are no analytics, advertising or social-media tracking cookies, so there is nothing to accept or decline.

Why we use it

• To reply to you, confirm a visit or order, and deliver what you asked for.
• To match your payment to your seva, send photos of the seva or of your sponsored cow, and issue receipts.
• To reach and help an animal you reported.
• To keep proper accounts, as Nepali law requires of a registered organisation.

We use your information only for these purposes. We will not add you to a mailing list or a Viber / WhatsApp group unless you ask us to.

What appears publicly

Your name appears on the website (for example, "Sponsored by the Sharma family, Butwal") only if you agree to it. Tick "Don't show my name publicly" on the seva form, or just tell us, and we will keep it private.

Who we share it with

• Service providers that run the website for us (web hosting and photo storage). They process data only on our instructions.
• Viber and WhatsApp: if you choose to message us there, your chat is also covered by that app's own privacy policy.
• Government bodies, only where Nepali law requires it, for example the Inland Revenue Department or the District Administration Office for our audited accounts.

How long we keep it

Donation and seva records are kept for as long as tax and organisation laws require for our accounts and audit. Messages, order and visit requests, and rescue reports are deleted within 2 years unless they are part of our accounts. You can ask us to delete your details sooner, and we will, unless the law requires us to keep them.

Your rights

The Constitution of Nepal (Article 28) and the Individual Privacy Act, 2075 (2018) protect your personal information: it may be collected and used only with your consent and for the purpose it was given. You can ask us to:

• tell you what information we hold about you;
• correct it if it is wrong;
• delete it, or stop using it.

Keeping it safe

The site uses encrypted connections (HTTPS). Only a few named members of our team can sign in to see form submissions, each with their own password. No system is perfect, but we collect little and keep it as short a time as we can.

Children

The site is meant for adults. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian before sending us your details.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update it on this page and change the date at the top.
